Information

A Curly fly is a mutated housefly: it’s blind and has curled-up wings. This makes it difficult to fly and makes them an easy prey for frogs, small reptiles and small birds. Due to natural reversed mutation there sometimes are flying species among them. We monitor this process as careful as possible by continuing to select the curl fly

You receive larva in a box with saw-dust and a paper wad. On average 3 to 5 days after delivery they will come out by a temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius.

Care

Housing

Curly flies can be kept in the supplied packaging

Temperature

With a temperature between 15 and 20 degrees the curl fly will hatch quickly. To delay the hatching process, you can best keep the flies in a temperature between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.

Nourishment

After pupation we advice you to put a piece of cotton wool soaked in milk with a little bit of sugar in the box. This avoids dehydration and takes care of nourishment.
