Infomation

Due to the favourable body proportions, giant mealworms are easier to digest than the normal mealworm and the hormone treated, giant mealworms (Tenebrio molitor). Morio worms can be used for reptiles, birds, fish and insect-eating mammals and fish-bait. Also available as freeze-dried product.

• Tube 500 gram or 1000 gram (1 kilo morio worms is always packet in 2 tubes of 500 gram) 

Information

Housing

Morio worms should never be kept in refrigerators! We advise you to keep them in a smooth sided container (synthetic or glass). Minimum measures for approximately 2 kg of giant mealworms are circa 25 x 40 x 10 (l x w x h)

Temperature

They will remain in good condition and won’t pupate too quickly when stored between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Nourishment

Bran or whole-wheat bread plus every other day a bit of apple or carrot. You can prevent fungus growth in the container by not giving them too much moisture rich food. Only give new food when the previous portion is finished.
